Fairyloot recently launched a book only option for their YA subscription, something I have been hoping they would do for a long time. As I’ve now switched to the book only option, the April 2022 box was my last full box. It might miss out on some great future items, but I just didn’t want my space getting cluttered with so many things, so I think the book only is the right option for me.
Fairyloot is a UK-based YA fantasy subscription box. If you subscribe, you get a box a month which includes a hardback book and 5-6 exclusive goodies around a theme.

The theme for April was ‘Bittersweet’! Let’s see what was inside…

Night Circus tray designed by @stellabookishart – I haven’t read the Night Circus but the artwork is lovely so I think fans of the book would appreciate this tray.

Heart fairy lights – I have always wanted to get a set of fairy lights and am so excited to get them and glad I didn’t miss out on them this time!
Dreamer pin designed by @jezhawk – This pin is inspired by Laini Taylor’s Strange the Dreamer, a book which I absolutely loved. The design of this pin is gorgeous.

Constellation canvas basket with art by @blanca.design – The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is one of my favourite books so I was really happy with this item. Plus, it’s useful. Though I haven’t decided what I will be storing in it yet.

Tarot cards of the month illustrated by @arz28 – they feature Chang’e and Liwei from Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan.

An Arrow to the Moon by Emily X. R. Pan – This month’s box came with an extra book! This edition features an exclusive cover, sprayed edges and digital author signature. I’m always happy to get a second book.

The book of the month is Blood Scion by Deborah Falaye and the Fairyloot edition has an exclusive cover, sprayed edges, artwork on the reverse of the dust jacket by @lgions, art wrapped around the hardcover and custom endpapers signed by the author.

Plus there is an author letter with character art on the back by @tara.light.
I am really happy with the canvas basket and fairy lights. The monthly book has so many customisations which is awesome. I especially love the art on the hardcover and would love to see this customisation again.
