Today’s top 10 is all about the older books we’ve read, rather than recent releases! This list will have five classics and five sci-fi and fantasy books. So here are some of my favourite books written before I was born, which was in the 90s!

It’s quite a few years since I read it now, but I remember really enjoying it.
Flowers for Algernon was a book that was such a powerful read.
Yes, very powerful! It was one that really stuck with me after I’d finished it.

It’s been many years since I first read it. I re-read The Fellowship of the Ring a few years ago intending to read the rest as well but didn’t get round to it. So I definitely need to reread them all at some point!

It is! It was one of the first classics I read as well, if I remember right.
I tried reading both Little Women and Jane Eyre but I got bored and gave up halfway through with both of them. Glad you enjoyed them more!

Although I enjoyed Jane Eyre I do remember finding it quite slow! I DNF’d it the first time I read it, then picked it up again a few years later and enjoyed it more.

I’ve read the first book in the Cygnet duology, The Sorceress and the Cygnet, and really liked it🙂
It’s a while since I read them but I remember really liking them! Patricia McKillip is one of my favourite authors, but I’ve only read a few books by her, I really need to read more. My favourite of hers I’ve read so far is Ombria in Shadow.
Jane Eyre, Little Women, Frankenstein, and Lord of the Rings are all on my tbr! I am hoping to get to a few of them this year hopefully.

It’s the only Thomas Hardy book I’ve read, but I remember really enjoying the writing style, so I need to read more of his work.
