I don’t usually set a TBR as I’m quite a mood reader, but there are some books I would really like to get to during the last months of 2020! I do love this time of year. Summer is too hot and winter is too cold, but there’s something about autumn, the colours of the leaves on the trees and warm drinks.
Top 10 Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish, but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. If you’re interested in taking part click here.

Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin – I loved Serpent & Dove so I can’t wait for the sequel. I hope it’s as good as the first, but I have seen mixed reviews for it.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong – This is a Romeo and Juliet retelling set in 1920s Shanghai. I don’t think I’ve read a Shakespeare retelling before so I’m looking forward to seeing how Chloe Gong retells Romeo and Juliet. I have an eARC of this one so I’ll be reading it soon.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir – This book has been on my Kindle for so long I have resolved to read it by the end of the year. It sounds so good!

The Deck of Omens by Christine Lynn Herman – This is perfect autumn reading. The Devouring Gray was one of my favourite reads last year. I loved the spooky atmosphere.

The Damned by Reneé Ahdieh – The Beautiful was so sumptuous and captivating, and the ending has left me desperate to read the sequel!

Unravel the Dusk by Elizabeth Lim – I read Spin the Dawn recently and really enjoyed it. The ending also took the story in an interesting direction so I’m keen to see what happens next.

Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar – The description of this book sounds amazing so I’m excited to dive in.

Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor – Daughter of Smoke and Bone was a phenomenal book and is one of my all time favourites. But I haven’t yet read the rest of the series, which I really need to remedy!

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare – I thought I might have tired of reading Shadowhunters books, but when I picked up Lady Midnight earlier this year I got sucked right back in.

The Midnight Star by Marie Lu – I want to finish The Young Elites series and I just have the final book left. The first two books were amazing and I can’t wait to read the finale.
What books are you planning to read this autumn? Talk with me in the comments!
You win the award for the fall books with the most beautiful covers, I think.
Haha these books do have absolutely beautiful covers!
I hope you enjoy all of these titles!
My post .
Thanks, I’m excited to read them!
These Violent Delights was on my list this week too. I sadly didn’t love Days of Blood and Starlight and have been putting off the third and final book ever since.

I have been putting off Days of Blood and Starlight a bit as I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone so much, I’m worried I’ll be disappointed by the rest of the series!
Well I hope you enjoy it more than I did!
I hope you will enjoy all of them! An ember in the ashes is one of my faves! I hope you will love it as well!
My post!
I hope so, it sounds really good!
Looks like a great list you’ve put together. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks, I hope so too!
What an awesome collection of books. And seriously, all of those covers are gorgeous. Love the idea of These Violent Delights—adding it to my ever-growing TBR pile.
The covers of these books are stunning! I’m looking forward to These Violent Delights, I’m interested to see what spin the author puts on the retelling!
These all have a great fall vibe to them! Happy reading.
They do! I don’t often read seasonally but I do seem to have picked ones with fall vibes!
Gah, I keep forgetting to pick up Star Daughter! I want to read that too, once I get hold of a copy!
Here’s mine!
It looks really good! I’m planning to read it next.
I’m so excited for These Violent Delights as well!! Also I love Days of Blood and Starlight! It was my favorite of the trilogy ☺️
Ooh that’s good to know, I’ve heard from a couple of people they didn’t like the rest of the trilogy as much as Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I’m so hoping I enjoy Days of Blood and Starlight!
