Top 10 Tuesday: Favourite Book Covers of 2019

Today’s Top 10 Tuesday is a book cover freebie so I’ve decided to do my top 10 favourite covers from books released in 2019. There are so many stunning covers out there, these are just 10 that stand out to me in particular. I haven’t actually read any of these books yet but I have some of them on my shelf waiting to be read.

Top 10 Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish, but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. If you’re interested in taking part click here.

Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim – This cover is just stunning. I love that the character isn’t just static; it’s a great action pose that really brings it to life.

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson – This cover is illustrated by Charlie Bowater, who is getting a name for illustrating really gorgeous YA book covers.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow – The colours and fonts used on this cover are really eye-catching. Also that title is so intriguing. I really want to read this one.

The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White – I’m not sure what it is I like about this cover. I think it’s the purple. I seem to really go for purple things.

Eight Will Fall by Sarah Harian – There’s something really dynamic and dramatic about this cover. It definitely drew me in and made me want to find out more about the story.

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon – I absolutely love dragons, so how could a cover with a dragon on it not feature in my top 10?

Once and Future by Amy Rose Capetta and Cori McCarthy – This one is simple but effective, I love all the detail on the armour and sword.

Romanov by Nadine Brandes – The red, gold and black are really effective with those swirling patterns. The details are really beautiful.

The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson – What I like about this cover is how the character is almost completely obscured by the crows. It’s dramatic and eerie how you can only see part of her face, and quite intriguing.

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer – Part of what makes this cover so great is how it’s so shiny on the physical book, and the shimmery silver spine is so unique.
