Top 10 Tuesday: Series I Haven’t Finished Yet

This week’s Top 10 Tuesday is a freebie, and I’ve decided to list the top 10 series I really want to finish! I’m not very good at finishing series, even ones that I love. I don’t like reading books in a series one after another, and there will often be a year in between me reading each book. I do need to stop leaving such long gaps in between as I do forget what happened in the previous book!

Top 10 Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish, but has now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. If you’re interested in taking part click here.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – Where has this series been? Why didn’t I read it sooner? Daughter of Smoke and Bone is (so far) my only five star read of the year, so I’m excited to read the rest of the trilogy.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas – Having devoured the first two books in this series last year, I haven’t ended picking up another one this year. I really need to rectify that next year, though it’s a long series so I don’t know when I’ll end up finishing this one!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – As I loved Throne of Glass, I decided to pick up A Court of Thorns and Roses this year and loved it. So now I have the rest of the books waiting on my shelf.

The Young Elites by Marie Lu – I only have the third book left to read in this trilogy, The Midnight Star. I’m planning to read that soon and tick this series off the list!

Gone by Michael Grant – I’m more than halfway through this series with just the last two books – Fear and Light – left to read.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – This book has been raved about so much and I finally read it this year. I can see why people love it so much. As this is a duology (at the moment) I have only one book left to read.

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin – This epic fantasy series isn’t even finished yet, but I’ve only read the first two books so far. Will I catch up by the time he releases the next book?

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead – I’ve often been disappointed by YA paranormal books but I was pleasantly surprised by this series. So far I’ve only read the first two though.

Shadowhunters by Cassandra Clare – As various books set in the Shadowhunters world are constantly being released, I wonder if this sequence of books will ever finish! I’ve read the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series in full, and am currently reading The Bane Chronicles.

Iskari by Kristen Ciccarelli – As a lover of dragons, I was bound to enjoy The Last Namsara. I’m curious to read the other two books in this series as they focus on different characters rather than being one plot line over the course of the series.

  1. It’s so easy to get lost in series! I love them, but I often find myself drawing them out so much that I forget what the last book is about and am then completely lost. Ugh. I did really enjoy the Gone series. It was entertaining. I haven’t read the others on your list, although most of them are on my TBR mountain chain SOMEWHERE :)

    Happy TTT!

  2. I’ve just finished the ACOTAR series. Six of Crows looks amazing and its been on my list for so long

    • I’m reading A Court of Wings and Ruin right now, it’s so good! Six of Crows is a really good book, and I enjoyed Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone trilogy too.
